NIGHT OWL SERIES: Making Foam Weapons and Props For Cosplay and Film with Matthew Walther

Do you have a costume that needs that little bit extra to really make it stand out? Are you filming a scene that needs a bit of violence, but don't want anyone to get hurt by the props? This class is just what you need to make safe, lightweight props perfect for any occasion. You will learn all about how to make weapons and other items out of foam floor mats, or “EVA” foam, one of the easiest and least expensive ways to make highly detailed, yet light and durable props with.

In this class you will learn how to work with the foam, including several tools you probably already have at your disposal. You will learn several different methods on how to make your prop, including stacking, boxing, sculpting, and so on to add huge amounts of detail you may never have thought possible. You'll also be able to follow along and make your own cool looking props, from a futuristic space gun to an old, battle worn medieval ax! Perfect for beginners and advanced makers alike.
