About the course
There is no better way to express yourself than through art. After many years of being a “purist” I have discovered the joy of mixed media. In this course I will be showing you techniques for using various media to create a harmonious whole. The final piece will be a quirky, whimsical fantasy figure with design influences from both the human and insect worlds.
In this course I will show:
- How to make an armature
- How to sculpt the body shape with tinfoil
- How to sculpt a face
- How to sculpt hands
- How to wrap the body using cotton wrappers and Textile hardener
- How to cover the body and make hair using faux fur
- How to make wings
- How to mount the figure onto a wooden block, make shoes and much more...
